Zero-Clearance Fireplace: A fireplace that can be installed with minimal clearance from combustible materials, allowing for greater flexibility in design and placement.

Zero Lot Line: A property where the building is constructed on or very close to the property boundary line, maximizing the usable space on the lot.

Zestimate: An estimated market value of a property provided by the real estate website Zillow.

Zip Code: A postal code used in Canada to identify a specific geographic area for mail delivery purposes.

Zone: A designated area within a property or building that is designated for a specific purpose or use, such as a residential zone, commercial zone, or recreational zone.

Zone Lot: A single lot within a zoning district that is subject to the same zoning regulations and restrictions.

Zoning: The division of land into different zones or areas for specific uses, such as residential, commercial, or industrial.

Zoning Administrator: An official responsible for enforcing and interpreting zoning regulations and ensuring compliance with zoning laws.

Zoning Appeal: A legal process by which property owners or developers can challenge a zoning decision or seek a change in zoning regulations.

Zoning Bylaws: Regulations set by local authorities that control and restrict the use and development of land within specific zones.

Zoning Certificate: A document issued by the local zoning authority that verifies compliance with zoning requirements for a specific property or project.

Zoning District: A designated area within a municipality or city that has specific zoning regulations governing the use, density, and development of land.

Zoning Map: A visual representation or diagram illustrating the various zoning districts within a municipality or city.

Zoning Ordinance: A set of rules and regulations established by local governments that dictate land use, building standards, and development guidelines within a specific jurisdiction.

Zoning Variance: Permission granted by local authorities to deviate from the standard zoning regulations for a particular property or project.
